Win Tickets To Metal Hammer Awards

JOB FOR A COWBOY to play at Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2008 and Need to Give Away Tickets!

Metal Hammer have just announced their nominations for their Golden Gods 2008 Awards extravaganza along with some of the bands who will be appearing.

This years bash takes place at The Indigo2 @ 02 in London on June 16th.

After romping home with an award for BEST UNDERGROUND BAND (as voted for by fans) Arizona five piece JOB FOR A COWBOY will be joining Bring Me The Horizon (and 2 more to be announced) for intimate appearances on board the Dixie Queen, as it sails up the Thames to The Indigo2 rammed with metal maniacs. There will be performances at the awards show by Disturbed, In Flames, Testament and Children Of Bodom.

With that being said, Job For A Cowboy needs to GIVE AWAY TICKETS to the event. This includes admission to BOTH the boat and the awards. There are some rules, though:
- Need to be 16+ (no questions as you will be turned away without proper ID)
- Need to be able to attend. The boat will leave around 3 in the afternoon on a Monday and the awards show at the Indigo2 will end at roughly 11:00 p.m.
- Tickets are VERY limited (though there will be a bunch of winners) so you will have to earn them.

To ensure that you are one of the crazed Job For A Cowboy fans that deserves to win one of the pairs of tickets, we will be running a contest on our Myspace page from now until the date of the Metal Hammer Awards. Simply go to the Job For A Cowboy Myspace page and go to the pictures. There you will find a picture of a Boat (The Dixie Queen Herself). Leave a comment under the picture of the boat - comments can include links to videos proving your love for the band, videos of your parents wearing JFAC shirts telling everyone that they will take you because you don't have a car or a ride, exquisite drawings, beautiful poetry, etc. You can leave as many comments as you want - see what others are doing and one up them. **WARNING**: Nothing Illegal, destructive or overtly crude will be tolerated. We are looking for positive, truly creative pieces of work here. The band and their management will be sorting through ALL of them and will conclude who deserves the tickets. A t-shirt will be included in the package that you can wear on the boat and to the awards show. All video/picture entries must be linked through the comments as the HTML is disabled. bio As Blood Runs Black

there was one band in the current metal scene that could be looked at as having gained momentum in a short amount of time, AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK would be that band. Doing it with tons of hard work and relentless touring the band has built a rabid army of fans that support all things AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK. It's that hard work that got the attention of Mediaskare Records owner Baron Bodnar, who immediately recognized the potential in the band. Within months of their signing, Mediaskare released the bands debut album 'Allegiance'. The 10 tracks of face smashing metal contained on 'Allegiance' quickly caught on with metal fans around the world and added more fuel to the fire that was AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK's quick rise to the top of the underground metal scene.

In support of 'Allegiance', AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK toured the U.S. with bands like Necrophagist, Cephalic Carnage, Sworn Enemy, Kataklysm, Animosity, and most recently Through The Eyes Of The Dead. With the fans gained from those tours, the band is now getting ready for their first ever headlining tour. As the last tour in support of 'Allegiance', the band will be bringing Walls Of Jericho, The Warriors, Born Of Osiris, and Belay My Last with them on the 'Farewell To Allegiance' Tour.

Following the 'Farewell To Allegiance' Tour the band will finish writing their new album, which is due out in Spring of 2008 through Mediaskare Records. With all the ground gained through their hard work with 'Allegiance', 2008 is looking to be the year AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK takes the metal world by it's throat and claims the throne as it's new leader.

Hate Me I'm Perfect

Hate Me I’m Perfect terbentuk sejak tahun 2006, tanggal 31 pada bulan Oktober. Didirikan oleh Ario saloko (Gitar), Dimas Edo Sadewo (Gitar), reza akbar (Drum) dan ghildafi(Bass), Reza Fachruddin ( Voc )Hate Me I’m Perfect sejak awal berdiri selalu membawakan lagu-lagu hasil ciptaan sendiri jika tampil secara live (manggung) dan juga membawakan lagu dari band-band underground mancanegara : Bring Me The Horizon, Dimension Zero, The Black Dahlia Murder, At The Throne of Judgement.Hingga pada suatu waktu ditahun 2007 dikarenakan permasalahan pribadi, Reza(Drummer) dikeluarkan. Hal ini sempat membuat Hate Me I’m Perfect goyah karena ditinggalkan drummer.Namun kekosongan ini tidak membuat HATE ME I'M PERFECT kehilangan semangat mereka, hingga Pada pertengahan 2006 terbentuklah line-up tersolid.sempat mengaudisi beberapa Drummer baru. Dan pada akhirnya Hate Me I’m Perfect menemukan drummer baru yang bernama Ryan Himawan ( new drummer )

'Bring Me the Horizon' young metal talent

For BMTH, it all started in March 2004, when these 5 kids got together from the ashes of a collection of defunct bands and started to write some music. Taking their influences from many of the heavier American metal-core acts, the newly formed band soon started turning heads. Much more attention followed, building rapidly after playing shows across the UK with the likes of Zao, The Nothing, Shaped by Fate and Johnny Truant. A rabid, hungry, loyal and HUGE fan-base started to grow and their shows became busier and busier. They didn't have any boundaries or rules, they just wrote what they wanted to hear and play.

Bring Me the Horizon are five very young British lads with a penchant for the heavy., Their astonishingly good debut mini album set for re-release on Visible Noise on the 30th January, 'This is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For', is essentially an 18 minute, mid nineties breakdown; four tracks of intense raging chugging and squealing, stop/starting and severe 'core riffing. Nary a second hand euro thrash riff to be found, nary a melodic sung chorus, all things about this genre that irritate are devoid (well save for ball splitinglyright now

tight pants and backwards hair-cuts).

The band have toured with The Red Chord and played with bands such as Aiden and Bleeding Through, only stoking the fire of demand and interest in this astounding group. BMTH's followers are devout, intense and VAST. Already, the band have had over 400,000 plays on the worlds biggest hardcore download site (www.hxcmp3.com), not to mention being in the top 100 played UK acts on MySpace (them and Coldplay were the only UK acts in the top 100!!!). They even have their own tribute band!!!!

This thoroughly brutal and immense beast of a mini album is unstoppable; BMTH have set a new standard for rage; a new level for windmilling metal-core. 2006 will be theirs for the taking, and no one will stand in their way!
